一、活动名称

“培养科学研究精神，提高实践创新能力”科技英语演讲比赛

二、活动主题

“科技创新，"英"为有你”

三、活动目的

为进一步加强我校大学生的科技创新意识、创新精神和实践动手能力，充分展示校园科技创新活动成果，全面推动全校学风建设，我校决定举办“XX年大学生科技节”系列活动，在此次科技节系列活动中，外国语学院决定在近期举办一场科技英语演讲比赛。

四、活动背景

在21世纪的今天，英语在国际交流中的作用不言而喻，随着我国科技的不断发展，人才要求的日益提高，科技英语变得十分重要；学好科技英语，掌握流畅的口语是顺应社会发展所必备的素质。因此，外国语学院团委准备在近期举行一场“培养科学精神，提高实践创新能力”为主题的科技演讲比赛。

五、活动范围及对象

活动对象是我校全体在校大学生，其中本学院大一大二每两个班至少派出一位参赛选手，其他同学亦可以以个人名义报名参加。

六、比赛具体流程

〈一〉初赛

初赛以学院为单位进行，由各学院老师和同学选出至少一名选手参加外国语学院的复赛。

初赛在8日前结束。

复赛

复赛以外国语学院为单位，评委由外院老师和学生会学习部成员共同组成。 经过初赛的选拔，我们会选出11名优秀选手参加全校决赛。

复赛时间暂定11月9号。

〈三〉决赛

复赛在50号楼503举行，评委由外院老师及外教组成。

复赛日期暂定11月12号。

评分标准：

1、内容要求：主题鲜明，内容清楚、结构清晰、中心突出，合理展开、阐释充分、证据相关、逻辑性强，内容生动、不枯燥，能吸引听众注意力。 （30分）

2、语言要求：使用标准英国英语或美国英语。语言准确（发音清晰，音调、音高合适，用词准确、相关），语言流利（注意连读、词重音、句重音、语调和节奏等）。 （30分）

3、技巧要求：自信，有感情与气势；注意手势、眼神与身体语言；幽默感（不能是哑剧式的幽默或调侃）；适当使用修辞手段（比喻、类比等）。 （30分）

4、时间控制：定题演讲在2分30秒时有工作人员提示，超过3分15秒，或不足2分45秒，扣1-5分。 （10分）

5、道具使用：定题演讲中允许使用实物、图片等辅助道具，但仅限使用一次道具，使用道具过多将被酌情扣分。

评奖与奖励：

决赛产生一等奖1名，二等奖2名，三等奖3名，优秀奖5名

八、活动前期准备：

1、10月28号通知各学院，请他们于11月8月号前选出至少一名参加复赛的同学。

2、提前申请好活动场地，申请展板摊位。

3、制作宣传海报两份，设计宣传单并复印若干份，提前宣传整个活动

4、做好活动所需材料的准备：把干事分为两组，宣传小组和设计小组，设计小组主要负责海报、传单、邀请函、奖状的设计和决赛当天现场布置方案、物资准备，而宣传小组主要负责初赛到决赛的宣传，并且负责邀请评委嘉宾。

5、联系好各部门的同学过来协助、帮忙

6、在新闻部调用同学准备负责拍摄，制作现场ppt等技术工作

复赛：

19：00主持人介绍评委及比赛相关规则

19：05---20：30选手比赛

20：30 主持人宣布进入决赛的选手，欢送评委，复赛结束

赛后工作人员清理现场。

下午6:00 工作人员入场准备活动前期工作

6：35观众入场

6：45嘉宾入场

7：00由活动主持人介绍出席嘉宾，并介绍此次活动的主要目的等事项

7:05活动正式开始

7:05---7：40上半场选手演讲比赛，每位选手演讲完后评委打分，主持人报分数，工作人员登记好分数

7：50----8：25下半场选手演讲比赛

8：30主持人宣布获奖选手名单，嘉宾向获奖选手颁奖，合影留念。比赛结束，由嘉宾做总结陈词。

Nowadays, everything is changing unpredictable. And all of us seem to pay more attention to the others, to the society or to the things on the other side of the earth. But have we ever thought about those questions: What s the most terrified thing for me? Could I ever fight with my bad manners and did I ever communicate with myself? Maybe you ll think that I ve lost my mind asking those questions, but guys wemodern people do need this ability self-criticism or self-insight. Chinese people have pursued our set way of the aim of life as to be a man and hold a family then contribute to societyfromancient times. According to this, we can know obviously that to be a man has been regarded as the thing that a responsible adult should deal with, or we should say, aspire to be firstly. As far as I could concern, to be a man not only means to show high moral standards, but to get well known about ourselves, yet we could hardly reach this standards by now because of the age or the lack of experience of living; however, things we can do would be more than just wandering around. One who knows his own strength and that of the enemy is invincible in battle; all I want to say is that This Is Me is not just making a self-introducing or emphasizing, the speech I made is not talking about my personality or inner-quality, it is a slogan or an aphorism, which always warning us that: get to know ourselves and to be a man.

一、活动形式：

1、宣传报名：学校网站、班主任和任课老师宣传，并到班主任处报名。

2、预赛：先以班级为单位组织学生在班上进行预赛，选出4名同学参加决赛。

3、决赛：通过预赛的同学参加学校组织的决赛（命题演讲和现场提问）

Facing this audience on the stage, I have the exciting feeling of participating in the march of history, for what we are facing today is more than a mere competition or contest. It is an assembly of some of China’s most talented and motivated people, representatives of a younger generation that are preparing themselves for the coming of a new century.

I’m grateful that I’ve been given this opportunity, at such a historic moment, to stand here as a spokesman of my generation and to take a serious look back at the past 15 years, a crucial period for every one of us and for this nation as well.

Though it is only within my power to tell about my personal experience, and only a tiny fragment of it at that, it still represents, I believe, the root of a spirit which has been essential to me and to all the people bred by the past 15 years.

In my elementary years, there was a little girl in the class who worked very hard but somehow could never do satisfactorily in her lessons.

The teacher asked me to help her, and it was obvious that she expected a lot from me. but as a young boy, restless, thoughtless, I always tried to evade her so as to get more time to enjoy myself.

One day before the final exam, she came up to me and said, Could you please explain this to me? I want very much to do better this time. I started explaining, and finished in a hurry. Pretending not to notice her still confused eyes, I ran off quickly. Nat surprisingly, she again did very badly in the exam. And two months later, at the beginning of the new semester, word came of her death of blood cancer. No one ever knew about the little task I failed to fulfill, but I couldn’t forgive myself. I simply couldn’t forget her eyes, which seem to be asking, Why didn’t you do a little more to help me, when it was so easy for you? Why didn’t you understand a little better the trust placed in you, so that I would not have to leave this world in such pain and regret?

I was about eight or nine years old at that time, but in a way it was the very starting point of my life, for I began to understand the word responsibility and ）●（to learn to always do my duties faithfully and devotedly, for the implications of that sacred word has dawned on me: the mutual need and trust of people, the co-operation and inter-reliance which are the very foundation of human society.

Later in my life, I continued to experience many failures. But never again did I feel that regret which struck me at the death of the girl, for it makes my heart satisfied to think that I have always done everything in my power to fulfill my responsibilities as best I can.

As I grew up, changed and improved by this incident and many other similar ones, I began to perceive the changes taking place around me and to find that society, in a way, was in its formative years like myself. New buildings, new commodities and new fashions appear every day.

20xx年12月02日晚上6：30在4408教室计算机与信息科学系第二届英语演讲比赛决赛拉开序幕。本次比赛邀请到的嘉宾有：紫荆教育集团主讲老师卢樟林、外教老师Ricky、20xx年大学生英语演讲比赛非专业组， 由宴勇与袁丽担任主持人。比赛以“______Make success”为主题，比赛分为两个部分： 第一部分是围绕主题的定题演讲（每位选手演讲3分钟，时间正负15秒）；第二部分是才艺表演（英文歌曲、英语笑话、英文诗朗诵、英文小品、歌剧等）。

There goes a very famous saying, and especially among those business people, that is, time is money. But in my opinion, time is more valuable than money. You see, the money we have lost can be gained again, but the time we have wasted can not be regained. Moreover, sometimes a person can exist at least for a while without money, but nothing can be done without time, just as no one can live without air.

However time is something that is invisible and men tendto waste their time unconsciously. Without anything to do, they will feel life is dull and meaningless.

Few men can live to 100 years. It seems fairly long but in fact it’s rather short. Just imagine how many things can a man accomplish in such a short period. Hence we should use our valuable time properly to do our work well. We will race with time. We will study and work hard and never waste even a single of minute.
